Berkley was north of Martinsburg with a short side track witch switches at both ends. It was also a new connection built to bypass coal traffic to the Western Maryland Railway from the B&O at Cherry Run. Coal could now be taken furth East to West Cumbo on the B&O and placed in the new yard between the B&O and the CVRR. The CVRR/PRR deferred to this connection as the "Cumbo Secondary Track", and the name at the connection to the CVRR was named "Guard".
