CSX train V810-26 enters the steet level running tracks of the WM in Chambersburg in June 1998.

Chambersburg, October 1999.

A CSX coaltrain enters Chambersburg in November 1995. This trackage has since been removed and trains diverted to the NS at NC Tower for the trip north to Harrisburg, PA.

WM right-of-way looking east at Chambersburg. CSX may still own the roadbed as nothing has changed except the removal of the track. (12-3-04)

The track was still down at Chambersburg in October 1999 but was gone when I photographed it again on December 3, 2004.

The WM crosses this bridge in the center of town. (12-3-04)

The bridge has been left intact after the track had been removed. People walk the roadbed today and hang out and cross this bridge. (12-3-04)

A photo of apparently the "old" section/tool house at Chambersburg. Perhaps by the time the photo was taken a newbuilding had been built that would replace this structure. Perhaps its replacement was the metal structure picture below in 1999??? (thanks again to Mike Yetter and warren Hart for this photo)
